Wheat Distribution to 350 Fire-Stricken Villagers in U.P (India) - April 2010

Can you imagine a sight where an entire rural village is on fire? Understandably it is a fearsome and daunting sight to imagine, let alone being in one. Approximately 350 rural villagers in remote areas of U.P (India) weren’t as fortunate, as they ended with facing a sight with all their harvested fields and personnel belongings on fire. The villagers were left with a bleak prospect with no finance to nourish the family.

The team at Sarav Dharam Manav Sewa Mission noted the dejected situation and decided to make a difference to the villagers’ life. Sant Makhan Singh Ji visited the villagers, listened to their concerns and offered support. On 29th April 2010, all village residents were given 50-50kgs of wheat each to allow their families to survive through the Indian summers. In these remote areas where no-one offers support to their family members let alone others, it was Sarav Dharam Manav Sewa Mission that played its part by offering support to the common man. Below are articles that appeared in the regional newspapers admiring our efforts.

  • Winter Jersey’s Distribution to Bahar Gao Children (January 2010) We as parents to young, growing children always have a desire to ensure that our kids’ requirements are always fulfilled. Often, we don’t consider about those children who don’t get this opportunity for their basic needs of education, clothing and food to be satisfied. Each night when we go and lay the cosy blanket over our children whilst they are asleep, we don’t think about those who will be asleep on the cold, frosty surface on the adjacent streetyytyt
